England captain Joe Root’s prolific run-scoring helped his team go past the 550-run mark in the first innings and put a mammoth total on board at stumps against India On Day 2 of the Indian vs England 1st Test in Chennai. England added 100 runs after losing 4 wickets in the last session. With this, by the end of the second day’s play, the visitors scored 555 runs for 8 wickets.
