The England cricket team has arrived in India to play a long tour. They are in India to play four Test matches, five T20I’s and three ODI’s. The entire team arrived on Wednesday from Sri Lanka after a successful Test series in the island nation.
England Cricket’s official Twitter handle shared a video of the players arriving in Chennai ahead of the series.
Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google and Alphabet who is usually natural and impromptu on his social media shared the video of the English team arriving in Chennai and wrote: “Welcome to my hometown @englandcricket wish was there for the game, should be a great series”

Pichai wished the English team best and welcomed them to his ‘hometown’. Actually, Pichai was born in Madurai but he lived a major part of his life in a two-room apartment in Chennai. Sundar Pichai has time and again shown his interests in cricket by tweeting or sharing about the game.
The English team will stay here in India for a long time. But they are only getting three practice days ahead of the first Test on 5 February. It is due to the compulsory quarantine which is required as per the new rules.
Meanwhile, Indian team has also landed in Chennai and is ready to take on the Brits. Earlier, Ajinkya Rahane was seen playing with his daughter during his quarantine in Chennai.
It will be interesting to see these two teams battle it out against each other.
