Sourav Ganguly Health Update: Former Australian cricketer and the most controversial coach of Team India, Greg Chappell has wished Sourav Ganguly, BCCI president, and former captain, as soon as possible. Greg Chappell said in a message sent to ABP News, “I wish him a speedy recovery”.

Significantly,  when Greg Chappell became the head coach of the Indian team, Sourav Ganguly was the captain. There were several reports of the dispute while the two managed the Indian cricket team and many suggested that it lead to the weak performances by the time at certain times.

Ganguly-Chappell Controversies

The rivalry between Chappell and Ganguly is well documented from back in the mid-2000s when the former Australian captain took the spot as the head coach of the Indian cricket team while Ganguly was the skipper.

Rumors of Chappell constantly trying to remove Ganguly as the captain and replacing him with someone like Rahul Dravid continued to circulate back then.

There was also a leaked email that Chappell had sent to the Indian cricket board, complaining about the Indian skipper’s physical and mental weaknesses and that Ganguly used to make excuses to get out of difficult situations.

Other legends who played for the team during the Ganguly-Chappell era have also spoken about the numerous infamous incidents that took place behind the scenes. Some of the most known instances were addressed by Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, and Harbhajan Singh, all over whom against the controversial Australian coach.

Nonetheless, Chappell’s wishes for Ganguly’s good health proves that no matter how deep the professional rivalries go, the worst of the enemies care enough to see each other in good health and high spirits.

Sourav’s echocardiography will be done again today

The doctors, who are treating the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, admitted to the hospital after a ‘mild’ heart attack, have released a statement stating that Ganguly’s condition is stable. On Saturday, a blockage was detected in three arteries of Ganguly’s heart, after which a stent was installed. “The coronary angiography of Ganguly was done at three in the afternoon and his echocardiography will be done again today,” the hospital said in a statement.

Oxygen levels in body 98 percent

It has been told that Ganguly’s blood pressure is 110/80 and the oxygen level in his body is 98 percent. Doctors said that after seeing Ganguly’s condition, a decision will be taken to do another angioplasty. The hospital spokesperson said in response to a question that the medical board is not considering the option of bypass surgery. He said, “Our expert committee will decide today on further treatment.”

Ganguly likely to be discharged on Wednesday

In a relief to the fans of  ‘Dada’ it is being known to us that Sourav Ganguly is currently stable and the doctors will keep him under observation till Tuesday. Ganguly is likely to be released from the hospital by Wednesday as his reports are perfectly fine.
